2006 November 7-9 NGV 2006 The International Association for Natural Gas Vehicles (IANGV) held NGV 2006, their 10th Conference and Exhibition on November 7-9, 2007 in Cairo, Egypt. The bi-annual show promotes natural gas vehicle technologies to a global audience, and is attended by hundreds of government representatives and policy makers, stakeholders, and component manufacturers from around the world. As part of the North American Pavilion featuring Canadian and American compressed natural gas companies, ATFCAN was there to promote its CNG India project, and explore project opportunities within the region. NGV 2006 was a success for all companies in the North American Pavilion, which featured a ribbon cutting ceremony with Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum, His Excellency Eng. Sameh Fahmy.
October 3 Odissi Dance and Reception On Tuesday, October 3, 2006 ATFCAN hosted a reception in conjunction with the High Commission of India at the Canadian Museum of Civilization, to promote its CNG India project. At the reception, ATFCAN CEO Rodney Semotiuk discussed the economic collaboration and technology transfer between Canada and India. As well, former High Commissioner Shyamala Cowsick gave a brief speech on India-Canada relations and the flourishing trade between the two nations. The reception was followed by a two hour performance of India’s acclaimed Odissi Dance Troupe, hosted by the High Commission of India and the India Canada Association. The Odissi performance was led by Guru Gangadhar Pradhan, India’s foremost teacher, choreographer, and proponent of the classical style of Indian spiritual dance.
March 29-31 GLOBE 2006 ATFCAN attended the GLOBE Foundation’s 9th Biennial Trade Fair and Conference on Business and the Environment, held at the Vancouver Convention and Exhibition Centre from March 29-31. The GLOBE conferences and exhibition are an excellent venue for networking with like-minded people and corporations all striving towards more environmentally-focused business practices and a more sustainable world. ATFCAN was one of 400 exhibitors at GLOBE 2006, showcasing sustainable transportation with its CNG India project to over 2,000 international participants from over 70 countries. |
